
SME Foundation held a workshop titled ‘Modern Yarn Dying Technology’ to further the technological advancement of the Saoil Handloom cluster in Adamdighi, Bogura.
Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Lecturer, Department of Dyes & Chemical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Textiles and Research Lead, Reed Consultancy, Bangladesh, and Md. Akhtarujjaman, Sustainability Engineer, Reed Consultancy, Bangladesh were the panelistsof the workshop. The event was attended by fifty entrepreneurs from the Saoil Handloom cluster.
The entrepreneurs presented a study on the feasibility of setting up a modern yarn dyeing plant in the Saoil Handloom cluster, which was developed by the SME Foundation, for the workshop.
The session also covered the potential, prerequisites, and advantages of establishing yarn-dying plants in the cluster as well as the difficulties and issues involved.
In addition, the business owners learned how much money and time they might save in the Bogura area by establishing a cutting-edge yarn dyeing factory. By using a contemporary yarn dyeing facility in the Bogura region, yarn may be dyed to generate high-quality, contemporary yarn.
