To showcase the advantages of fabric digitisation in the clothing sector, Otto International and Astra (Bangladesh) Supply Chain Service Ltd organised a joint event called Fabric digitisation Open House.
Digihub Manager Aurelie Rob demonstrated how virtual prototypes may expedite the sampling and production processes, bringing concepts to market more quickly while reducing expenses and material waste. Digital twins allow for precise fabric representations, which facilitates faster product creation and less waste, according to Deepa Subramaniam, Account Executive at Browzwear.
Live fabric digitisation demonstrations, including texture scanning and physical parameter analysis, were showcased during the event. Prominent designers and technical specialists from top textile factories were among the attendees, who saw firsthand how digital technologies may revolutionise the design and production of clothing.
As part of its dedication to developing a digital supply chain, Otto International wants to improve industry stakeholders’ cooperation and provide them with the necessary resources for the fashion industry’s future. The project is in line with the growing trend of using 3D technology to boost sustainability and efficiency in the clothing sector.
