WHY THOUGH?
Bangladesh’s apparel industry is progressing with a vision of US $ 50 billion industry by 2021. One of the core strengths of the country is the mass automation brought about within the industry which not only bring down costs, but also ensure quality output.
“Bangladesh’s garments and textiles sectors are working hard to achieve US $50 billion by 2021. For this, we need to focus on value-added items and new markets. These kinds of expositions are important for Bangladesh to reach the goal,” said Faruque Hassan, senior vice president at Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said, “These exhibitions will play an important role to local and foreign manufacturers, dealers and suppliers to showcase their products where Bangladeshi garments and textile factory owners and exporters can connect with them.”
