The Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA) will return to Los Angeles on 6th March, once again promoting the idea of interrelated cultural transformation and bringing together a diverse range of sectors to achieve it.
The event will be co-chaired by Livia Firth, actresses Cate Blanchett, Helen Hunt, Julianne Moore, and Zendaya, as well as singer, activist, and founder of NGO The Circle Annie Lennox, minister of Indigenous People of Brazil Sŏnia Guajajara, and Ugandan climate justice activist Vanessa Nakate. Additional speakers will be announced later.
The award winners are chosen based on six cultural archetypes: The Visionary, The Messenger, The Rebel, The Healer, The Sage, and The Futurist, each symbolizing a unique collective shift within each society.
Last year’s winners were Tom Ford for The Visionary, British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful for The GCFA Game Changer, Gucci for The Futurist, and designer Gabriela Hearst for The Sage.
Each selected individual is recognised for their contribution in the sustainable environment, according to the GCFA, and provides “a fresh lens on genuine intersectional transformation” for a “brighter collective future.”
