The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) is geared up to organise its 52nd IHGF Delhi Fair from 28 to 31 October 2021 in physical form at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.
The event will be with SOPs as laid down by the Government of India.
Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairman-EPCH, informed that with around 1,500 Indian exhibitors, the show will display home, lifestyle, fashion, hard goods and textiles items and is to be visited by overseas buyers from across the globe, buying representatives in India and domestic retail stores.
In a statement, EPCH said that the world’s largest vaccination programme (in India) is in full swing and with the number of COVID cases showing steady decline with each passing day, the time seems opportune to hold a physical exhibition thus providing opportunity to both the buyers and exhibitors to meet in person to transact business.
“Physical B2B events are the lifeline for the handicrafts sector as the element of touch, feel and visual impact plays a very important role in the decision making of the buyers,” said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, DG, EPCH.
He informed that to maintain strict COVID protocol during IHGF Delhi Autumn’2021, the EPCH has laid down guidelines to be followed by the exhibitors, buyers and visitors at the fair venue which include wearing face masks, thermal scanning, physical distancing, respiratory etiquettes, colour badge wise entry, frequent hand sanitisation, isolation centre at the venue, COVID enforcement officer, Aarogya Setu App, CCTV, F&B services with proper hygiene, etc.
The EPCH will provide three different colour badges for entry to the fair. Blue (for overseas buyers): the overseas buyers will follow the international protocol of RTPCR testing as mandated at Air Suvidha portal. Green (for exhibitors): fully vaccinated with both doses. Orange (for others): single dose vaccination or no vaccination but allowed entry with negative RTPCR test (report) done 48 hours prior to visit to the fair or rapid antigen test done at the fair venue at their cost.
