After three successful BSMs, the fourth edition of Hindtex is all geared up to welcome visitors from September 26 – 28, 2013 at Hotel Ramada, Varanasi. In the last two editions, Apparel Online, the Knowledge and Media Partner to the industry initiatives has been arranging the visitation of buying offices, export houses, retailers and fashion designers during the event. In the last edition, the turnout of the buyers was higher than expectation and Apparel Online took a delegation of thirty plus buying/liaison offices and fashion designers to Hindtex. Triburg India, Impulse, Find Agencies (Francis Waczirag Group) sent their teams from different divisions; fashion designers like Rakesh Thakore, Jattinn Kochhar, Rahul Mishra, Niki Mahajan, Shravan, to mention a few, were awed by the variety of products. Buyers from the US, Europe, Australia and Turkey also visited the show.

The three-day event will see exhibitors from Varanasi showcasing their latest developments in fashion and home furnishing fabrics (silk, polyester, digital prints, etc.) along with home furnishing made-ups, handicrafts, fashion accessories and floor coverings. Expressing his optimism for Hindtex 2013, Amitabh, the newly elected President of EUPEA says, “Last time we had good number of buying offices who visited Hindtex and we got some very good enquiries also; it takes time to build up relationship with the buyers and this year also a good number of buying offices and designers are expected to come and we hope to develop working business relations with them.”
Team Hindtex was very happy with the footfall and quality of buyers in the last edition. “We are satisfied that we got extremely good buyers from overseas and reputed buying/liaison offices along with a good turnout of the fashion designers. I thank Apparel Online for being our Knowledge and Media Partner and guiding us at every stage and coordinating with buying offices to visit Hindtex. It’s heartening to see that both buyers and exhibitors are equally happy and the overwhelming response from the buyers for this year’s event is very encouraging,” states Rajiv Agrawal, Chairman, Hindtex Committee.

Adding his bit of appreciation for last edition, Naveen Kapoor, Vice Chairman, Hindtex Committee avers, “With each successive year the footfall is getting better. We don’t want visitors in numbers but we look for quality visitation of buyers from across the country.”
After attending last year’s edition, a majority of the buying offices echoed that Varanasi manufacturers have to gear up to be compliant, as the industry is still working in a decentralized fashion. They all felt that Varanasi has improved a lot in terms of getting organized, but the hub still needs to gear up in terms of working with organized global retailers and brands. It’s important that they work; at least some basic certificates are required to cater to buying offices that source merchandise on behalf of the international retailers.
Hindtex Marketing Head, Mukesh Agrawal shares that each and every suggestion from the buying offices is being taken seriously by the manufacturers and they are understanding the importance of scaling up and reworking on their MOQs (minimum order quantities) so that they can cater to the international retailers. “We are all geared to present new products to the visiting buyers and like every time we’ll send them back happy.”
Mukund Agrawal, Publicity Head, Hindtex stated that all necessary information is updated on the official website www.eupea.org and hoardings have been put at prominent places in the city and at the Varanasi airport. Marketing agencies such as Masbee Services are also promoting this year’s event.
Venue In-charge Syed Hassan Ansari elaborated on extensive arrangements being made for the show which will be held in the air-conditioned hall of Hotel Ramada, a five-star property.
EUPEA Secretary Ratandeep Agrawal and Treasurer Haji Rais Ahmed stressed that all out efforts are being made to ensure comfortable and meaningful visits of the buyers and team Hindtex will do all possible to make this event even better than before.
