
Business bodies in Bangladesh have called upon the concerned authorities to refrain from hiking the gas and power tariffs.
Media reports maintained this adding President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Jashim Uddin has sent a letter in this regard recently to Prime Minister’s Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury even as President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Mohammad Ali Khokon, on the very same day called on the energy adviser and requested him not to increase the price of gas.
The BTMA President expressed hopes that a positive decision will be made regarding the same while adding the energy adviser also agreed with BTMA’s statement.
