Regina Brückner, Managing Associate of Brückner Trockentechnik has been elected as the new Chairperson of VDMA, the German Textile Machinery Association. For the first time in its history, a woman Chairperson will head VDMA. She will replace Fritz Mayer, Chairman at Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik, who led the Textile Machinery Association since 2008 as Chairperson.
Brückner Trockentechnik is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of systems for dry textile finishing, while VDMA represents the interests of some 3,000 manufacturers in more than 30 different machinery and plant sectors. With Brückner machinery, textiles like apparel, bed linen or curtains are finished, impregnated and dried after the dyeing and printing processes. Also the most difficult of technical textiles are coated and finished on Brückner machines.
Leading the family enterprise of Brückner for the last 15 years, Regina has proved her leadership since 2008 as the Vice-Chairperson of the Textile Machinery Association. “The new Board of Directors is a pleasant mix of proven members and new faces. I think these are good pre-requisites for a successful and creative work environment during the forthcoming three years. I would like to thank in particular Mayer for his willingness to continue to support the Board with his experience,” said Regina on taking up the prestigious position.
