After a negative apparel export to Japan in 2016, Pakistan has started the year 2017 on a positive note. The country noted boost both in value and volume terms collectively in knitted and woven apparel categories.
On Year-on-Year basis, Pakistan was up 25.45 per cent in total apparel export values while volumes rose 10.49 per cent. Knitted apparel too witnessed gain of 59.82 per cent, whereas quantities were up 11.88 per cent during the first month export to Japan.

Though woven apparels dipped in its value-wise exports from Pakistan to Japan and settled at a negative growth of 2.48 per cent, quantity got a boost and witnessed hike of 4.28 per cent during the review period.
