Morito Co., Ltd., an Osaka based global supplier of apparel fasteners has acquired the US based Scovill Fasteners. Pitched as a move to strengthen Morito’s market position and revenue base outside Japan, Scovill Fasteners will now operate as a subsidiary of Morito. Takaki Ichitsubo, President of Morito-the world’s second-largest supplier of metal clothing fasteners affirmed that the leadership skills of Scovill’s current management team will bring new perspectives to the Morito growth strategy as well as the organization on the whole.
