The Government of India will provide assistance to develop Afghanistan’s textile industry in skill development, R&D, technical collaboration in product development and manufacturing, testing and certification. The commitment was made at the time of signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Afghanistan and Indian Ministry of Textiles. Both the sides have also agreed to cooperate in developing better economic relations and bilateral cooperation in the field of textiles, clothing, cotton, man-made fibre and handlooms.
