
After the last revision in minimum wages of skilled and unskilled labour in Haryana done in 2007, the Haryana Government has now increased it by 29 per cent and 48 per cent for unskilled and skilled workers, respectively. For unskilled workers, the monthly minimum wage has been revised to Rs. 7,600 from Rs. 5,900 earlier; and for the skilled workers, it has been increased to Rs. 9,699 from Rs. 6,536 earlier.
The announcement was made by Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, who also promised an increase of minimum wages linked to the consumer price index once in six months.
