Collective efforts are key to surviving and growing in the apparel industry, especially for unorganised and semi organised segments. In light of this, a new trade body – ‘Delhi Hosiery and Garments Association’ (DHAGA) – has been formed by leading Delhi-based garment agents and distributors.
The thought was conceptualised by its founder Praveen Jain of Vijay Kumar Jai Chand Lal Jain and to bring it into reality, many fellow garment distributors and agents came together, especially Sachin Aggarwal of Tapodhani Creations, Vikas Jain of NR Jain Agencies, Sunil Jain of SB Agencies and Prabhat Sachdeva of Prabhat Enterprises. They’ve joined hands to form the DHAGA that aims to strengthen the business of Delhi’s distributors, agents and retailers. So far there are 100+ members which have come on board the association and the number is continuously increasing.
“Distributors, agents and retailers are facing new challenges every day, so we decided to come together and find solutions by collective efforts. We will focus on prioritising solutions for the issues of Delhi’s distributors, agents and retailers on priority basis,” Praveen told Apparel Resources.
He further added that distributors, agents and other stakeholders not only from Delhi, but from other states also are enthusiastic to join hands with the DHAGA and become members of the association. “Our aim is to provide an environment in which every trader’s trade is safe,” he said.
