The deadline for submitting data for the revision of the Rebate of States and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) on Export of Garments and Made-Ups rate has been extended from 31st March 2025, to 15th April 2025 by the Department of Revenue’s RoSCTL Committee.
The RoSCTL Committee was established to update the suggested ceiling rate schedules under the RoSCTL Scheme, and it is chaired by G.K. Pillai, Secretary (retd.), Government of India.
The Committee has been tasked with interacting with administrative Ministries, Export Promotion Councils, Commodity Boards, Trade Bodies, and other relevant parties in order to gather pertinent information, determine the procedures for calculating duty, tax, and levies at the federal, state, and local levels that are imposed on exported goods covered by the RoSCTL Scheme, and jointly review the set of previously suggested ceiling rate schedules that apply to exports of goods covered by the RoSCTL Scheme.
In May 2025, the committee is expected to turn in its report. The Committee asked Trade & Industry Associations and Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) to submit the data by 31st March 2025, in the format specified. The deadline for data submission has been extended till 15th April 2025, on the request of exporters and EPCs. Exporters and industry participants will have an opportunity to submit data if the deadline for submitting data for the scheme’s rate review is extended.
