
Shantanu Singh, the unit leader and general manager of C&A Sourcing International Ltd, alongside Nitin Kumar, the Sourcing Operations Dhaka Hub manager, extended a courtesy call to Faruque Hassan, the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
In a press release on Tuesday, it was revealed that the meeting delved into comprehensive discussions on potential business expansion and strategies aimed at bolstering Bangladesh’s competitiveness in the global market.
The gathering, held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, included the presence of Miran Ali, vice president of BGMEA, and Shovon Islam, chair of the Standing Committee on Press, Publication, and Publicity.
The discourse encompassed various critical facets of the garment industry in Bangladesh, with a specific focus on sustainability and the transition to a circular fashion system.
President Faruque Hassan underscored the significance of responsible business practices, urging C&A to showcase empathy and support in implementing a new minimum wage for garment workers to enhance their well-being.
