Birbal International, one of the major exporters of kidswears in the Delhi-NCR region has recently added new markets and is also now enhancing its capacities to just double. The company having 400 machines has already finalized the order for an additional 400 machines that will be operational in the next three months. Apart from enhancement to its stitching units, it has recently added capacity in the washing unit and added 10 multi-head embroidery machines of SWF. All the setup is under one roof in Noida where 50,000 square feet area is already constructed and another 30,000 square feet is under construction. “Earlier our only focus was Middle East countries but now we are exploring various markets, and have already added few buyers from Russia. Sampling is on full swing for Europe and the US, and very soon we will export to these markets also. Apart from these we are participating in various garment fairs so we can continuously work with more and more buyers. Our manufacturing unit is also fulfilling all the European norms required for kidswears so it is not easy for a buyer to ignore us,” says Surender Gupta, Director, Birbal International.
The company that clocked a turnover of Rs. 24 crore in the last fiscal, has made a total investment of Rs. 2.5 crore on the various machinery and is expecting 15 to 20 per cent growth, as Surender claims that even during the recession his company did not face much impact as kidswear is always in demand.
