Bitopi Group’s sister concern M/s. Sonar Manufacturing Limited is all set to invest US $ 9.58 million in the DEPZ or in Dhaka Export Processing Zone, to establish an apparel manufacturing facility.
According to media reports, an agreement was signed recently in this direction between the M/s. Sonar Manufacturing Limited and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA).
Reports further claimed once operational, the manufacturing facility will annually produce around 2.93 million pieces of woven and knit products (jackets, bottoms) while providing employment to around 1,551 Bangladeshi nationals.
Meanwhile, as per a press release issued by Bitopi Group in this regard, already three entities of the Group are operating in EPZs, which include globally top-ranked eco-friendly LEED Platinum Certified factory M/s. Remi Holdings Limited (which started operations at Adamjee EPZ in 2016), M/s. Croydon-Kowloon Designs Ltd. (in Dhaka EPZ) and M/s. Baridhi Garments Limited (in Cumilla EPZ).
