
Crombie, the British heritage brand, has been acquired by a newly formed firm created by private investors for a sum that remains undisclosed.
The firm, under the name Crombie 1805, is led by MD Gordon Ritchie, with strong backing of private investors.
Notably, the acquirers were advised by Brown Rudnick.
Gordon, reportedly, told media that he aims to inject a new energy into Crombie, besides raising the heritage brand’s profile globally.
Lauding the brand for its amazing heritage, Gordon said that it was pleasing to be able to continue the legacy of one of the world’s most famous brands.
Founded in 1805, London-based Crombie is known for its coats, suits and fashion accessories.
