According to the Export Promotion Bureau, Bangladesh’s export sector, valued at US $ 2.8 billion in December 2014, has registered growth of 4.3 per cent as compared to December 2013. Exports for the first half of financial year 2014-15, grew by 1.56 per cent to total at US $ 14.91 billion from a year earlier. The apparel manufacturing sector (knits and woven) continued to dominate by fetching US $ 12 billion in July-December period as compared to US $ 11.9 billion a year ago.
