Showrooms at Apparel House will now have a busy look. The complex has opened the vacant showrooms to all industry members for a 3-day show, concurrent to Tex-Trends at Pragati Maidan. The AEPC Chairman A. Sakthivel has taken a very proactive stance by deciding to rent out the vacant showrooms at the Apparel House to the non showroom holders who are interested to showcase their products.
These showrooms will be available at a nominal rate of Rs.5000 + service tax for 3 days – from 18th to 20th July, the dates that coincide with Tex-Trends India fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 16th to 18th July. “This is an interesting proposition for exporters to avail the world class facilities at the Apparel House while promoting their business. At such low rates it makes complete commercial sense for exporters to setup shops at the showrooms for which they have to pay hugely at other sourcing fairs,” said a showroom holder. The showrooms will be provided basic infrastructure like light and AC, while chairs, tables, display racks, etc. can be hired from an appointed contractor.
Showroom owners are confident that if the venue pulls up one good event, buyers will respond positively and ask for more such market weeks in the future.
