Export of readymade garments of textiles was of US $ 1,415.46 million in February 2014 compared to US $ 1,537.92 million this, marking an increase of 8.65 per cent. As per the official provision figure released by RBI, in the case of export of man-made yarn/fabrics/made-ups etc., there was negative growth of 7.94 per cent as in February 2014 it was of US $ 443.31 million compared to US $ 408.13 million of February 2015. Same was with the cotton yarn/fabrics/made-ups, handloom products etc. as it decreased 1.27 per cent. It was US $ 900.52 million in February last year and US $ 889.09 million in the same period of this year.
With regards to import, textile yarn fabric, made-up articles saw increase of 23.42 per cent, as in February 2014, the figure was US $ 107.23 million against US $ 132.34 million in February this year. Cotton raw & waste also increased 16.92 per cent as its import was US $ 18.85 million in February 2014 compared to US 22.04 million in this year.
