
Bangladesh’s Adnan Fibre Limited is all set to set up a backward linkage unit in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ), located in the industrial city of Ishwardi in Pabna.
Media reports maintained this adding Adnan Fibre recently signed an agreement in this regard with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), which is the Government’s agency to manage various export processing zones in the country.
To be set up at an investment of US $20.66 million, the unit of Adnan Fibre will, reportedly, produce 25,000 metric tonnes of Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF) per annum, while also providing employment to 514 Bangladeshi nationals.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Ali Reza Mazid and Adnan Fibre’s Managing Director KH Adnan Mehmood signed the agreement on behalf of the respective entities.
