
A Bordeaux Digital PrintInk division – Velvet Jet for textile ink solutions has received the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification, which is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres and treatments.

The press release from the company states, “Velvet Jet’s GOTS certification provides yet another credible assurance for textile manufacturers that its pigment ink are also the most ecological choice, while maintaining high quality characteristics including uniform coverage for quality prints on any type of fabric while preserving the natural feel of the fabrics.”
With GOTS certification Velvet Jet assures that it is allergenic-free, water-based and safe to use ink, for digital textile printing purposes. Besides, with its single pre-treatment to all types of fabrics there is no post-treatment required, no need to steam and wash post printing, thus there are no wash and dry cycles. Henceforth, there is a noteworthy drop in electricity and water consumption and the entire process is shorten, the company release mentions.
