Reverse Resource has awarded the Textile Waste Management Certificate to Urmi Group, a pioneer in sustainable textile manufacturing, in appreciation of their steadfast commitment to circular fashion projects. This award emphasises the progress Urmi Group has made in lowering textile waste and encouraging sustainability in the sector.
Through its collaboration with Reverse Resource, Urmi Group has recycled around 230 metric tonnes of cutting fabric waste and scraps since 2021.
The award ceremony took place at the Urmi Group Head Office, where Mumit Hasan, Country Head of Director-Business & Operations, Reverse Resource, Bangladesh presented the certificate to Faiaz Rahman, Director of Urmi Group.
The event was attended by key members of the Urmi Group team, including Biplob Barua, Head of Strategic HR, and ABM Faqrul Alam, Head of Sustainability, who have been instrumental in driving the company’s sustainability initiatives. From Reverse Resource, Ahmed Ali-Business & Operations Manager was also present in the ceremony.
