Bodyline, the leading apparel group of Sri Lanka which owns four factories, has reportedly become the first Sri Lankan apparel manufacturer to be certified as CarbonConscious. This is seen as the first sustainability milestone under the new leadership of Dinesh de Silva who has been appointed recently as the new CEO of the company.
Bodyline has been awarded the certification by The Sustainable Future Group (SFG) – one of Asia’s first verification, validation and certification bodies to be accredited for ISO 14064 GHG Quantification and Reporting.
The apparel manufacturer collaborated with The Carbon Consulting Company (CCC) to obtain comprehensive annual GHG Inventories for its operations, as well as to monitor and update their Carbon Management Plan set up by the same.
