Sportking India Limited, an integrated textile conglomerate, reported a total turnover of Rs Rs 2,495.86 crore (US $260.87 million) and a net worth of Rs Rs 1,115.90 crore (US $116.63 million) , as disclosed in the CSR applicability section of its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for FY26.
The Ludhiana-based company operates three manufacturing plants and offices across India and serves customers in 36 international countries in addition to the domestic market. Exports contributed approximately 51% of total turnover, highlighting the company’s significant exposure to global demand for its cotton and polyester-blended yarn products.
On the sustainability front, Sportking India operates a 27.62 MW solar power plant and, during FY26, initiated capital expenditure for a 40.3 MW captive solar power project through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under a 25-year Solar Power Purchase Agreement. The project is expected to reduce annual power costs by approximately 12–13% while increasing the share of renewable energy in the company’s overall energy mix.
Reflecting its overall energy requirements, the company’s total energy consumption during FY26 stood at 1,056,804 GJ, compared with 966,544 GJ in FY25. Renewable sources accounted for 126,755 GJ, while non-renewable sources contributed 930,049 GJ. Meanwhile, water withdrawal increased to 706,126 kilolitres from 630,821 kilolitres in the previous financial year, with the entire requirement sourced from groundwater. The company has also initiated the phased implementation of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes across its manufacturing operations.
Waste generation also rose significantly during the year, reaching 171.61 tonnes in FY26 compared with 15.13 tonnes in FY25. According to the company, the increase was primarily due to more comprehensive waste tracking rather than operational inefficiency.
