The Finnish textile technology business Spinnova Plc has named a well-known individual as its new CEO in the wake of recent unrest. Janne Poranen, the founder, will take over as the company’s leader immediately.
Following the news that its incumbent CEO, Tuomas Oijala, had resigned, Spinnova made its decision. However, because of his current notice period, it was announced last week that he will continue to oversee the company until mid-September. According to Spinnova, Oijala will continue to work for the company until further notice and will now assist his successor with strategic issues.
Prior to assuming the role of chairman, founder Poranen served as the company’s CEO from 2014 until 2022. At a challenging time, he is now going back to his previous role. Janne Poranen emphasized his strong motivation to lead Spinnova and shape the company’s future in the current scenario.
As an alternative to conventional textile production, Spinnova, a Finnish textile material innovation business, has created a patented method that uses a mechanical process free of hazardous chemicals to create textile fibre from wood, pulp, or garbage.
