PVH Corp., formerly known as the Philips-Van Heusen Corporation and one of the world’s principal apparel companies, has been granted the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification for its men’s dress shirt and neckwear lines marketed under PVH’s well-known corporate brands – Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Izod, and Arrow, and its licensed brands.
The OEKO-TEX® certification serves two strategic purposes for PVH. First, it guarantees that the dress shirts do not contain harmful levels of more than 100 substances that are usually dangerous for humans, and are completely safe for the people who make, sell, and buy them. Secondly, it establishes a uniform and objective quality standard that is recognized and easily implemented across PVH’s extensive worldwide supply chain. The certification will cover more than 30 million garments produced in facilities throughout the world.
