
One of India’s leading apparel exporters also known for its sustainable initiatives, Pratibha Syntex has been honoured by The Federation of Madhya Pradesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FMPCCI) for maximum manpower employment award in large industry category.
In an event at Bhopal, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, presented the award to P K Verma, Vice President-Finance of the company.
The company provides direct employment to around 6500 individuals and since it is in expansion mode with the new unit Pratibha Swaraj, 4000 jobs will be created further. And interestingly 80 per cent of this new unit’s workforce would be women.
Shreyaskar Chaudhary, MD, Pratibha Syntex Ltd, mentioned that the accolade is a testament to our commitment to empowering individuals through job opportunities and unrelenting efforts to save the environment for future generations.
He further added that circularity and sustainability are at the core of Pratibha business strategy. Over 30 per cent of energy is sourced from renewable energy. A 2.5 MW rooftop solar power plant has been installed in the factory. Water and energy-efficient machines have been outfitted in the processes. Absolute GHG emissions for the main plant have been reduced by 21 per cent from 2021 to 2022.
