
VF Corporation, primarily into apparel, footwear and accessories has unveiled its purpose during a global leadership conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 30. The three-day conference was attended by more than 300 top leaders of the brand.
“We power movements of sustainable and active lifestyles for the betterment of people and our planet,” the company said. The new purpose will help the 119-year-old company transform into a purpose-led, performance-driven and value-creating organization.
Input from more than 1,000 VF associates from around the world, external stakeholders and experts were taken before taking a final call to finalise VF’s Purpose.
After having a fair understanding about integral combination of business and purpose, the VF is now hopeful to have a movement that helps consumers and associates, alike, participate in and drive its global impact.
“Our Purpose is why we exist and do what we do,” said Chairman, President & CEO Steve Rendle in a statement issued by the company.
“Purpose helps us to create difference in the world and sharpens our focus and informs our decision. It also stimulates our global workforce to come together as One VF to form stronger relationships with each other as well as with customers, consumers, stakeholders and others outside our business,” added Rendle.
Progress made toward the 2021 Global Business Strategy and how associate’s contribution in the company’s global business transformation was also discussed during the conference.
