TrusTrace, a global SaaS company specialising in supply chain traceability and compliance data management, has announced a partnership with PIP Global Safety, a leading supplier of protective workwear equipment.
PIP, known for its 30+ global brands, has chosen the TrusTrace platform to enhance its traceability capabilities, particularly in meeting compliance requirements like the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).
“Our goal is to support global brands with the traceability data they need to succeed,” commented Shameek Ghosh, CEO and Co-Founder, TrusTrace, adding, “We’re thrilled to support PIP sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives and help them comply with impactful regulations by automating their supply chain data collection of granular, product-level data.”
By leveraging real-time data on the TrusTrace platform, PIP Global Safety intends to gain deeper insights into the origin of the cotton used in its PPE and workwear products. The partnership is expected to streamline the process of chain of custody data collection, addressing UFLPA regulations that mandate companies to assess supply chain risks and implement measures against forced labor.
Previously reliant on manual traceability methods, PIP Global Safety sees TrusTrace as a strategic choice for automating data collection, digitisation, and sharing.
Nathan McCormick, Senior VP of Operations and Integrated Supply Chain at PIP Global Safety, highlighted the platform’s ability to provide detailed product-level data, allowing for a comprehensive mapping of supply chains.
In addition to regulatory compliance, TrusTrace aligns with PIP Global Safety’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. This commitment encompasses various aspects of the business, including manufacturing processes, sustainability-driven programs, recycled products, social sustainability, and future initiatives.
