As part of its commitment to improve brand-wide ethical and sustainable actions, Pentland Brands has formed a strategic partnership with Segura.
Pentland has tasked the supply chain software solutions provider with mapping the company’s full multi-brand, multi-tier supply chain “from the first tier to raw materials – across its global operations.”
Segura will also assist the UK-based owner of Speedo, Berghaus, and Endura in tracking suppliers’ environmental development as well as measuring and managing compliance.
According to Pentland, the data collected will then assist consumers in making purchasing decisions.
The agreement was regarded as a “significant move forward in transparency and traceability [as] part of [our] ‘100-1-0’ sustainability strategy [while committed] to being a positive business for people and planet” .
Sara Brennan, positive business director at the firm, said: “Our supply chain is complex and, with consumers demanding increased transparency from all businesses, we’re proud to be reaching this milestone with Segura. Investing in the right sustainability tools is essential to driving towards our 100-1-0 goals.”
The Pentland Brands 100-1-0 strategy, which will be launched in November 2021 during COP26, has three important aims to be completed by its centenary year in 2032: assisting 100 million consumers live healthy, active, sustainable lifestyles, supporting one million people in its communities, and reaching net zero.
