
With security measures like risk analysis, workplace and building safety, training, and safe chemical handling and storage, Oeko-Tex has announced that more than 1,000 facilities have achieved its Step Certification. Over 1,030,000 workers in these facilities receive fair wages and work under safe and socially responsible conditions.
The Oeko-Tex Step accreditation benefits the sector by encouraging environmentally friendly and safe purchasing decisions and upholding ethical working conditions. Facilities can use the accreditation to demonstrate their stewardship of the environment and their employees while communicating their efforts in a credible manner.
These facilities are spread across 56 nations, including Turkey, Bangladesh, and India. It is dedicated to tracking how it performs in terms of the environment. The Step certification is a crucial benchmark for sustainable production since it offers a thorough and integrated approach with international recognition and independent verification, ensuring ethical standards and eradicating greenwashing across the supply chain.
