Functional clothing manufacturer, Odlo has become the first Swiss company to join the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). The company wants to take on environmental responsibility in its entire supply chain and will implement the SAC’s sustainability measuring instrument, the Higg Index, meant to enable more sustainable decision-making processes in the supply chain.
“The Higg Index’s holistic approach helps us to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of our sustainability activities and to initiate corresponding measures for improvement. At the same time, we’re a part of a large network within the global textile industry,” said Andrea Gerber, Sustainability Manager, Odlo.
