By partnering with eBay and textile recycling platform Reskinned to develop a pre-owned resale program, British design brand Nobody’s Child has furthered its commitment to circular fashion.
As part of the partnership, Reskinned lists gently used Nobody’s Child clothing on eBay that has been donated by staff members and consumers. Nobody’s Child has been actively collecting donations for the past month.
The lifecycle of Nobody’s Child clothing will be extended by combining Reskinned’s proficiency in clothing repair, resale, and recycling with eBay’s access to its millions of buyers.
The program gives consumers a simple, fulfilling method to keep clothing out of landfills while highlighting Nobody’s Child’s dedication to circular fashion and minimising textile waste.
Nobody’s Child’s current sustainability efforts, such as takeback through Reskinned, rental services through ZOA, and repairs and adjustments in partnership with SOJO, are enhanced by the resale scheme. Additionally, the company supports national initiatives to reduce the fashion industry’s water and carbon footprints by signing on to WRAP’s Textiles 2030 program.
This occurs at the same time that Nobody’s Child seeks to increase its physical footprint. As the womenswear brand continues to grow, the shop said earlier this week that it would be launching a new store in Victoria Leeds, making it its third site outside of London.
