Nobitech, a budding apparel company announces the release of the first athletic apparel line designed to repel harmful insects as well as the mosquitoes that may carry the ‘Zika virus’.
The products in the apparel line use the latest Skintex® technology, the only apparel treatment approved by the EPA to repel mosquitoes using microencapsulation technology, wherein the capsules contain a slow release synthetic repellent that is non-toxic for humans, but deadly to crawling and flying insects. The technology uses Permethrin, a synthetic insecticide similar to a naturally occurring chemical called pyrethrum derived from the crushed dried flowers of the chrysanthemum. Permethrin works as a contact insect repellent and is effective against multiple species of insects.

Their innovative apparel will be hitting the market for the first time in July 2016, and is currently being used by some athletes in their clothing for the 2016 summer games in Rio.
