Following the former owner of Percentil’s insolvency proceedings in Spain, MySize, Inc., a leader in AI-driven retail solutions and omnichannel e-commerce platforms, announced today that it has acquired key assets of Percentil, a prominent managed marketplace for second-hand fashion with operations in Spain, France, Germany, and Italy.
Percentil, a premium re-commerce company, was founded to promote sustainable fashion through high-quality second-hand items. It is anticipated that its managed marketplace model will beat rival platforms like Vinted and other fast fashion resellers in terms of profitability and customer retention since it guarantees product quality, increases resale values, and improves consumer and seller experiences.
MySize plans to recast the platform as a premium marketplace after the acquisition, signalling a strategic shift towards higher-value products and a first-rate re-commerce experience. The platform’s drive for a sustainable business model built on higher margins and long-term brand value is supported by this shift, which reflects consumer demand for quality, authenticity, and improved resale experiences.
With this purchase, MySize is introducing “Circularity as a Service,” a B2B resale solution that integrates with Percentil’s platform to allow brands to profit from returns and overstock. Fashion firms can resell returned, overstocked, or pre-owned clothing thanks to this scalable product. According to MySize, Percentil’s preliminary pilots with Springfield (Tendam Group) and C&A confirm the model’s popularity among big stores looking to adhere to new EU regulations mandating official clothing reuse programs. The SaaS-based monetisation strategy offers potential high-margin scalability together with recurring income streams.
