Mafatlal Industries Limited (MIL), the flagship company of the Arvind Mafatlal Group, has partnered with Kosol Energie to commission a 4 MW ground-mounted solar power project at its manufacturing facility in Nadiad. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader efforts to improve energy efficiency and advance its decarbonisation strategy.
The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 6.5 million units of clean energy annually. According to the company, this will significantly reduce reliance on conventional grid power while supporting more sustainable manufacturing operations.
Commenting on the development, Priyavrata Mafatlal, Managing Director of Mafatlal Industries Limited, said sustainability has long been embedded in the company’s operating philosophy. He added that the solar project represented an important step in preparing the business for the future, reinforcing its focus on clean energy, efficient manufacturing and long-term value creation. He further said the initiative reflected the company’s commitment to building a more resilient and responsible future for both the industry and the country.
Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie Private Limited, said the partnership with Mafatlal Industries reflected a shared vision for a cleaner and more responsible manufacturing ecosystem. He noted that the 4 MW project went beyond a conventional energy installation and demonstrated growing confidence in Kosol Energie’s solar technology and engineering capabilities, adding that the company aims to support industries with reliable and high-performance renewable energy solutions.
The commissioning of the solar project underscores increasing momentum among Indian manufacturers to adopt renewable energy as part of their sustainability and operational efficiency goals.
