LRG has developed its first-ever sustainable capsule, which will debut on 22nd April 2023 on l-r-g.com in observance of Earth Day 2023. Two T-shirts from the new collection are made of 60 per cent organic cotton and 40 per cent recycled polyester. Best-selling vintage graphics that have been reissued on the new sustainable body can be found on these T-shirts.
Together with the new collection, LRG is still using the MadSustainable platform to carry out the Take Back Program. Customers are asked to return any LRG products they no longer need as part of this initiative to prevent them from going to waste. Customers will receive a coupon for 30 per cent off l-r-g.com purchases in addition to having a beneficial environmental impact by returning these items.
“We continue to improve our efforts to be a more sustainable organization and a leading example in the apparel and fashion industry,” says Faizan Bakali, President/COO of Mad Engine (parent company of LRG).
Mad Engine, which was founded in 1987 and was acquired by the international investment firm Platinum Equity, based in Los Angeles, in 2020, has developed into one of the top wholesalers of branded, licenced, and private-label clothing and accessories worldwide. The global reach of Mad Engine includes special facilities for customer support, production, quality control, and distribution.
