After two Indian textile conglomerates: Arvind Ltd. and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited’s Madura Garments, now Indore-based apparel exporter Pratibha Syntex will create history and become the first ever Indian apparel exporter to reveal its sustainability report (very soon).
Sameer Bhand, VP – Strategy & Sustainability, Pratibha Syntex told Apparel Resources, “We feel that endeavours towards sustainability should be taken by everyone as the Earth is the only planet which can nurture life. Pratibha has invested conscious time and efforts towards sustainability initiatives and is going to release its first sustainability report soon.”
He further added that sustainability is not a programme for Pratibha Syntex with certain budget rather it is in the company’s DNA, and therefore its entire operations are very much aligned with sustainability aspect.
For the exporter, sustainability is passion and is integrated at the core of the business practices and policy, from board level to studio and from factory floor to outlets. Pratibha drives sustainability through innovation and excellence in its entire product development cycle, and is similarly adopting sustainable business practices in its entire value chain.
