Known for its hand bags and creativity, Delhi-based Fashion Folio has recently received the Sedex certification and shifted its facility to Mangolpuri Industrial Area. “We want to work with more buyers as we have strength, good products and enough capacity; certification does also help as buyers notice compliance,” maintained Gurpreet Singh Anand, CEO of the company. He further added, “Our new unit of three floors in 425 sq. yards is also a support for us.” The factory was earlier located in Meera Bagh where the company still has its office.
Fashion Folio is using mostly velvet, jacquard and dari fabrics for manufacturing bags with FOB of US $ 8-9. The company is expecting a good growth in the current fiscal despite slow market in Europe as it is optimistic about getting orders from Japan and the US, though the latter is comparatively a new market for the company. “A lot of business can shift to India from Japan as buyers over here want to shift their production base from China to India, though India does not have proper facilities and infrastructure as per their needs,” concludes Gurpreet.
The company has a capacity of 15,000 bags/month which it exports to Europe, Japan and USA.
