Under a three-year agreement, the denim producer Evlox and the materials science firm Recover agreed to work together to promote cutting-edge technologies that would accelerate the transition to a circular textiles industry.
Recycled cotton fibre from Recover, which is made from textile waste and processed with ‘minimum environmental impact,’ will be used by Evlox into its denim goods as part of an additional commitment.
The agreement is in keeping with the denim brand’s ambition to provide more environmentally friendly products, transition to a more circular business model, and accomplish its CSR programme goals for the year 2025.
Re-Iconics by Evlox, the first collection created as a result of this partnership and constructed using recycled fibres produced in Spain by Recover, will debut this month.
Jamie Lloréns, CEO at Evlox, said: “We are proud to contribute towards making textile circularity a reality, and we believe that innovation is the key for a competitive and sustainable fashion industry in the future. For that reason, we continue to seek new sustainable solutions, whether through partners, processes or materials, that helps us to achieve new fibres from recycled textiles.”
