Elevate Textiles yet again shows its commitment to enhancing supply chain sustainability in apparel, footwear and textile sector.
US-based Elevate Textiles has announced that it has joined Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) to include its globally renowned brands like American & Efird (A&E), Burlington, Cone Denim, Gütermann and Safety Components.
Talking about company’s continual commitment to being a sustainable leader, Jimmy Summers, Chief Sustainability Officer, Elevate Textiles, said that by joining SAC, the company has further committed to implementing Higg suite of tools to its supply chain and to be part of further development and expansion of use of tools in the industry.
Elevate Textiles, in its relationship with SAC, will help contribute data and resources to support the Higg Index.
Notably, the company has been using Higg Index since 2014, which also includes the recent addition of verified self-audits.
Welcoming Elevate Textiles to SAC, Amina Razvi, Executive Director, SAC, said that Elevate and each of its top textile brands will help widen the scope of SAC’s impact within the industry and accelerate the change it is making towards responsible industry actions.
In addition to contributing to several sustainability efforts like ZDHC Programme and UN CEO Water Mandate, Elevate Textiles has established its 2025 Sustainability Goals that focus on sustainably sourced fibres, reduced water consumption and reduced greenhouse gases.
