DBL Group, one of Bangladesh’s leading readymade garment (RMG) exporters, has earned a commendable “B-” score in the CDP Water Report 2024, surpassing the global average of “C” and strengthening its reputation as a sustainability frontrunner in the country’s apparel industry.
The achievement highlights DBL Group’s strategic focus on environmental transparency and responsible water management practices across its operations. Since 2021, the conglomerate has been voluntarily disclosing its environmental data on CDP’s global non-profit platform, reflecting its long-standing commitment to eco-conscious growth.
The “B-” rating serves as recognition of DBL Group’s effective water stewardship, aligning with broader climate-conscious goals and positioning the company among the more environmentally responsible players in the global textile supply chain. In addition to its water management success, DBL Group excelled in eight different performance categories across both CDP’s Climate Change and Water Reports in 2024.
A major force in Bangladesh’s RMG industry, DBL Group operates more than 50 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and employs over 40,000 workers. The group exports over US $ 1 billion worth of apparel annually, supplying knitwear, denim, and woven garments to key markets in Europe, North America, and beyond.
