Bangladesh now has 230 LEED-certified green factories, marking a major milestone for sustainable manufacturing and establishing the country as a leader in environmental stewardship in the global textile sector. Of these, 92 firms have obtained the esteemed Platinum certification, and 124 have received the Gold certification, demonstrating the nation’s steadfast dedication to environmentally friendly industrial methods.
The Cotton Field BD Ltd. Administrative Building in Gazipur, which recently received an outstanding Platinum certification score of 86, is the most recent addition to this outstanding lineup. This establishment is a prime example of Bangladesh’s commitment to raising industry standards.
An astounding 62 of the 230 accredited companies are ranked in the top 100 LEED-certified facilities globally, according to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). This achievement not only demonstrates Bangladesh’s efforts in sustainable development but also solidifies its position as a pioneer in ecologically friendly production.
