Archroma, a specialty chemicals company partnered with sustainable textiles colour solutions provider, ColouRizd to produce a high-quality and high-performance textile.
This partnership is the combination of their individual project, Archroma’s pigment colouration solutions and QuantumColour yarn-clothing technology.
The aim of their combined project is to provide a sustainable solution for textile production and colouring. The new technology will help in limiting the water use to 0.95 liters per kilogram of coloured yarn as opposed to the conventional method of using 95 liters per kilogram.
Moreover, it will reduce water consumption to 98 per cent, decrease carbon footprint to 73 per cent and reduce energy use by 50 per cent while producing zero water discharge and chemicals.
The chief executive officer at ColouRizd, Jennifer Thompson commented, “With a mission to revolutionise the textile industry through groundbreaking and eco-friendly solutions, ColourRizd is pleased to partner with Archroma to champion clean and simple yarn colouring. We are reimagining textile colouration in partnership with leaders like Archroma because we believe in a future where fashion is accessible, affordable and sustainable.”
