The Minister of State for Textiles (I/C) Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurated a training programme on colouring for handloom weavers, at the Common Facility Centre at Cholapur, Varanasi. During this programme handloom weavers received yarn passbooks and weaver identity cards from the Minister. Addressing the event, Minister said that Center government has moved ahead to give an identity to the local weavers at the international level. Adding handloom with tourism will enhance scope for weavers. Alok Kumar, Development Commissioner (Handlooms) was also present in the event.
