Teijin, a textile and fiber company of Japan recently developed a highly functional and comfortable warp knitted polyester fabric that has a pile structure similar to toweling. The material is said to possess excellent water absorbing property, soft texture and a bulky but lightweight feeling. The new material can be used in sportswear, underwear, uniforms, bedding and industrial materials and is applicable for multi-season use.
Teijin has derived features from its popular material, ‘DELTAPEAK’ which incorporates unique yarn texturizing, knitting and dyeing techniques, and new technologies based on false-twist yarn.
