Japan-based Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd., the Teijin Group’s fibre-product converting company, has developed Solotex RC, a polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) fibre with a bulky three-dimensional structure for lightweight and cushiony high-function fabrics, as per reports. The company envisions a wide range of applications for Solotex RC, including sports apparel, bedding and industrial materials.
The SOLOTEX RC fabric has a Soft and smooth texture. Its molecular structure renders a warm and gentle elasticity. It is comfortable to wear due to its stretchability and much easy to care as a synthetic. The newly developed Solotex RC, however, provides superior vertical cushioning due to crimped PTT fibre arranged in a continuous radial around a main axis. Teijin Frontier’s unique three-dimensional structure offers omnidirectional bulkiness.
