The US-based, Parkdale Mills has acquired complete stake in Summit Yarns, sited in Mexico. Parkdale Mills has had a 50 per cent share since 1997 in Summit Yarns, which is a joint venture with the International Textile Group (ITG). “Summit has been a key supplier to the Cone Denim Yecapixtla plant of ITG and will continue to supply yarn in future too”, as stated by Parkdale. The company has 29 manufacturing plants in US, Central America, Mexico and South America. It is also speculated that Parkdale Mills will double the existing capacity at Summit Yarns which employs approximately 350 members of staff.
